Flourless Fudge Brownies
These flourless fudge brownies are the perfect dessert to satisfy all of your chocolate cravings, without having to compromise on making a healthier choice. The addition of bananas, peanut butter, and maple syrup not only makes these brownies a healthier option but also creates a deliciously rich and moist brownie. Not to mention, this recipe comes together all in one bowl, making it great for busy nights where clean up should be at a minimum. The best part - don’t have bananas? You can substitute bananas for sweet potatoes, butternut squash, or pumpkin for an addition of vegetable power.
Can I substitute anything for banana? Yes, you can substitute a couple of different things for banana in this flourless fudge brownie recipe and still turn out with great results. My recommendations are to swap banana for canned butternut squash, sweet potato, or pumpkin purée. When making the substitution, be careful not to choose a canned option that is sweetened, such as pumpkin pie purée instead of pure, canned pumpkin. This will make the batter overly sweet and impact the texture of the brownie. To make this substitution, eliminate the two bananas listed on the ingredients list and instead use 2 cups of your favorite period vegetable listed above.
Can you substitute peanut butter for anything else? Yes, any nut butter, such as almond butter, cashew butter, etc., works great as a substitution for peanut butter in this recipe. You can use the same amount of substitute butter and continue the recipe as directed. No compromise on flavor and easy peasy!
How do you serve flourless fudge brownies? These brownies are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream. With that being said, these brownies are delicious even when cooled and are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!
How long do flourless fudge brownies last? I recommend storing flourless fudge brownies in the fridge for up to 5 days. It’s important to store these brownies in the fridge to make sure they stay as fresh as possible.
How long to bake flourless fudge brownies? These flourless fudge brownies bake for approximately 35-40 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. As with all baking recipes, you’ll want to check the brownies after this period of time to make sure that they’re fully cooked, as many different ovens have different cooking times.
How to tell when flourless fudge brownies are done baking? To check that your brownies are fully baked, insert a knife or a toothpick into the center of the brownies. The knife should come out clean and not have any batter clinging to it. Be mindful that this recipe has delicious melted chocolate chips throughout the brownies, so if you hit a piece of chocolate with your knife, you don’t want to mistake that for undercooked batter.
